Author Guidelines
1) Title in Spanish and English. Latin names used for genera and species must be written in italics and include a reference to a family taxon or an upper-level taxon.
2) Name of the author(s): name initial(s) + complete surname(s). Addresses on a separate paragraph.
3) Abstract in Spanish and English. Minimum length of abstract: 250 words.
4) Keywords in Spanish and English (minimum 6).
5) Text: Original articles, mainly oriented towards spreading scientific knowledge and results. The rules set forth in the Codes of Nomenclature must be respected. Also, when species and genus category taxa are mentioned in the text for the first time they must include the author's name and the year of publication.
6) Images and copyrights: Only images, drawings, photographs, figures, tables, charts, etc. created by the authors of the article are accepted. Authors can also use rights-free images, etc. or those under Creative Commons licences allowing for them to be reused and listing the allowed uses. Rights-protected images, charts, etc. can be used as long as the authors of the article have requested and secured the relevant authorisation from the creators of such images, charts, etc.
7) Citations of references in text should follow these examples:
“…as stated by Fernández (2002)”. Or: “…in subsequent works (López, 2004)." Whenever there is more than one author, the abbreviation et al will be used. (E.g. García et al., 1990).
8) Bibliography will only include the works mentioned in the text, and it will be organised as follows:
a) Articles:

b) Books and non-periodical publications:
